DesignDile ("we," "us") provides book cover design, interior formatting, and related services for self-publishing authors. This policy applies to visitors of designdile.com, clients who hire us, and users of our author dashboard and contact forms.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country
• Project information: book title, genre, trim size, page count, design briefs, and files you upload (manuscripts, covers, references)
• Account data: if you create an author account — login email and profile information stored via our authentication provider
• Payment-related data: transaction references and billing details processed by our payment partners (we do not store full card numbers)
• Communications: messages sent through contact forms, email, or project threads

We use your information only for legitimate business purposes, including to:

• Deliver cover design, formatting, and consultation services

Your intellectual property remains yours. We access manuscript and design files solely to complete your project. Assigned designers and formatters may view files on a need-to-know basis.

We do not publish, share, or use your unpublished work for marketing without your written permission. Portfolio use is discussed per project — you may opt out before we showcase work.

We rely on trusted providers who process data on our behalf, such as:

• Hosting & infrastructure — website and file delivery
• Authentication & database — secure author accounts (e.g. Supabase)
• Email — transactional and support messages
• Payments — Stripe, PayPal, or similar processors
• File collaboration — Google Drive, Dropbox, or client-provided links
• Analytics — Google Analytics (aggregated usage statistics)
• Newsletter — email signup tools when you subscribe on our site

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We choose vendors with strong security practices and limit data shared to what is necessary.

We keep project files and correspondence for as long as needed to fulfill your order, provide support, and meet legal or tax obligations. You may request deletion of non-essential data after your project closes, subject to records we must retain by law.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your data (where legally permitted)
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails
• Export your project deliverables you have paid for
